When you purchase a policy on the Endsleigh website, your documents will be generated online during the payment process. Your documents will then be stored securely in your online account for you to access whenever you need to. If, in the unlikely event that you require a hard copy of your documents, please contact us.
Orchestral Instruments
Use this section to insure your brass, wind, wood-wind and stringed orchestral instruments or non electric pianos.

What's covered?
  • Accidental damage or theft whether you are playing as an amateur or professional.
  • All instruments which are stolen or damaged beyond repair will either be replaced on a new for old basis or
    the amount of the loss or damage paid in cash.

Please note:
  • Instruments must be insured at the current cost of replacing them.
  • Accessories with a replacement value of above £100 must be entered as a separate instrument if they are to be insured under this policy.
  • Vintage or rare instruments require a professional valuation in the event of a claim.
  • The first £25 of any claim (£50 in the event of the claim being for portable computer equipment) will not be covered.
  • Breakage of strings and/or reeds and/or drum heads and sticks is not covered.

Other Instruments
Cover any other instrument; acoustic; electric or drum kits; plus ancillary items such as amplifiers; drum stands;
cases or speakers; we will even cover turntables and recording equipment.

What's covered?
  • Accidental damage or theft whether you are playing as an amateur or professional.
  • All instruments which are stolen or damaged beyond repair will either be replaced on a new for old basis or
    the amount of the loss or damage paid in cash.
  • Portable computer equipment, including laptops, can be covered provided:
    • the equipment is owned by you;
    • is used in the course of music production (in the event of a claim proof will be required to validate that
      music production software has been used);
    • is insured together with relevant musical instruments.

Please note:
  • Instruments must be insured at the current cost of replacing them.
  • Accessories with a replacement value of above £100 must be entered as a separate instrument if they are to be insured under this policy.
  • Vintage or rare instruments require a professional valuation in the event of a claim.
  • The first £25 of any claim (£50 in the event of the claim being for portable computer equipment) will not be covered.

  • Hi fi equipment, records, cd’s, minidisks, tapes and software will not be covered.

    Cover all your musical instruments both in and outside your home for accidental damage and theft anywhere in the UK on a new for old basis.

    Please note: Theft from unattended vehicles is not included on UK Only cover.

  • UK and 90 days EU cover
    Extended UK cover with an additional 90 days cover in Europe, including theft from unattended vehicles.

  • Worldwide - up 90 days
    Up to 90 days cover for your musical instruments anywhere in the world for accidental damage and theft, including theft from unattended vehicles.
